Sardine Festival in Kalloni

The Sardine Festival in Skala Kallonis is very interesting and is organized each year in the first or the second weekend of August and it lasts for three days. The sardines of this area are considered the best in Greece. During the Celebration they give roasted sardines to the tourists free of charge and a lot of ouzo. The festive atmosphere includes live Greek music and traditional dances, making the Sardines Festival one of the most representative celebrations of the island, which satisfies all the senses.
