Museum of Natural History of Meteora & Mushroom Museum

The special, modern museum that is dedicated to the nature of Meteora operates since 2014 in Kalabaka. In three exhibition units it presents in an original way the animals and birds living in the area, more than 300 species in total, and the dozens species of mushrooms that grow in this environment.

The visitor has the opportunity to learn about the special landscape through dioramas the singular landscape and its ecosystems, creating an unforgettable experience that will complete his pilgrimage to this monastic city. The museum organizes interesting events, exhibitions, seminars and educational programs for children.
